The mine is accessible by appointment or on ‘open days’ but only to parties interested in mining history. The normal route for visitors is about ¼ mile long and takes about 1 ¼ hrs to complete. There is a short stooping section as you enter, and then the roof can be low in sections, but is generally easy walking.  Go back to ‘What you need to know.’
